👨🏽‍💻Otc means over the counter, in literal translation - ignoring the counter. OTC (Over-the-Counter) is direct trading between people. In that case a seller and a buyer make a deal between each other, usually with assistance of escrow.

▪️To be an advanced otc market user you need to know the following rules.

1. If you want to buy, always write WTB. If you want to sell, always write WTS. You need to start each OTC chat post with these abbreviations.
2. You always need to write buy and sell prices. Don’t waste each other’s time. You can offer your price in dm.
3. Use #tags. E.g. #acala #flow etc. People can follow the #tags and find the posts they are interested in.
4. Write briefly, clearly and without emoji
5. Read OTC chat rules. They can differ.

▪️Precautions.

I think everyone knows that a lot of scammers work in crypto, so before EACH deal you need to check:

1. The OTC group must be legit. There are not many of them in crypto, so DOUBLETOP created its own OTC group.
2. All deals should only be conducted with the help of escrow. Escrow is a guarantor that makes the deal secure.
